Innovative comfort and convenience features are standard even in the 2024 Kia EV9‘s base model. The front seats are both heated and ventilated, with 8-way power adjustments plus 2-way lumbar support. The tri-zone climate control system has automatic defogging, rear AC vents, and rear passenger controls. Heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals and rain-sensing wipers are also included.
Quiet Mode avoids disturbing passengers in the back rows by directing the audio system’s sound only to the front row. A Passenger Talk feature allows front-seat occupants to talk to back-row passengers using the cabin speakers or microphone, so you don’t have to turn around or shout. Performance
The 2024 EV9’s three highest trims are all-wheel drive with two motors. The two lowest trims are rear-wheel drive with a single rear-mounted motor. However, Kia has configured those lower trims to deliver 215 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, so you won’t lack power. The EPA-estimated drive range on a full charge is 230 miles, and you can choose from four drive modes: Sport, Eco, Normal, and My Mode.
Technology
There’s no shortage of cutting-edge technology in the 2024 EV9. Even the line’s base model has standard features you’d only find in the higher trims of other brands. The 8-speaker audio system includes SiriusXM satellite radio, and the infotainment system has a big 12.3-inch touchscreen. In addition to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, navigation and map updates are also standard.
You can lock and unlock your car, even drive it, with a digital key that can be shared with others by text. You can also use the Kia Access app to pre-heat and pre-cool your car before entering it. All rows have two fast-charging USB-C ports. The front row also has a USB-C data port, the second row has a 110V power inverter, and the rear cargo area has a 110V power inverter outlet. A wireless phone charger is also standard.
