The 2024 Kia Sportage comes with a 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine with Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing and Direct Injection + Multi Port Injection. This engine delivers 187 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 178 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. For smooth acceleration, the 2.7L engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Sportage LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige trims have FWD drive modes, while the X-Line trim has AWD drive modes and the Sportage X-Pro and Sportage X-Pro Prestige have Multi-Terrain drive modes. The Sportage has a maximum towing capacity of 2,500 pounds with trailer brakes and 1,653 without trailer brakes.
Exterior
The Kia Sportage is a midsize crossover with four doors, silver skid plates, body-color handles and mirrors, a rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. The Sportage includes LED Daytime Running Lights and LED taillights. Auto Headlight Control turns your headlights on and off according to natural lighting conditions while High Beam Assist adjusts your high beams when it detects oncoming vehicles.
Interior
The new Kia Sportage has a Dual Level Cargo Floor that lifts up to reveal additional cargo space. The 60/40 split-folding and reclining rear seats can be folded down for even further cargo room inside the cabin, while 6-way manual driver’s seat creates a more comfortable ride during long trips.
The sound-absorbing windshield glass dampens outside noises and makes your journey more peaceful. Privacy glass keeps your cabin cooler.
Connectivity
The LX Sportage trim comes with an 8-inch digital touchscreen while all higher trims have a 12.3-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation. Use this color digital display to access Kia Connect for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or available SiriusXM Satellite radio! Kia Connect is available on all trims except the LX model.
With Bluetooth wireless technology and multi-device connectivity, you can make hands-free phone calls from behind the wheel. The 6-speaker audio system is perfect for amplifying your favorite music, while the front USB ports allow you to connect and charge compatible devices.
