Cabin Tech
All 2024 Kia EV9s have a push-button starter, Passenger Talk, and Quiet Mode. Passenger Talk uses the cabin’s speaker system to make it easier for front-seat passengers to speak with back-seat passengers. Quiet Mode ensures the high-quality sound system is active only in front seats, allowing back-seat passengers to sleep undisturbed.
Every EV9 trim includes two 12.3-inch screens that serve as the infotainment hub and the instrument cluster. The infotainment screen includes navigation, vehicle diagnostics, cabin media, and all your favorite Kia applications. The first three trims come with an eight-speaker premium audio system and the top two trims upgrade to a Meridian Audio System with a whopping 14 speakers. The Blind-Spot Collision Warning system gives audible and visual alerts when your blinker is on and another vehicle is detected in the corresponding lane. The Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist works with the Warning system by gently steering you back into your intended lane.
Collision Avoidance
Forward Collision Warning will provide audio and visual alerts when a potential impact is detected in front of your Kia. The system works alongside the onboard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist by applying the brakes autonomously to lessen the impact of an unavoidable accident.
The Collision-Avoidance Assist includes intelligent programs that cover a wide range of potential situations you may encounter like pedestrians/cyclists, junction turning/crossing, oncoming traffic, and side traffic. The program includes an Evasive Steering Assist
Lane Assists
All trims come with Lane-Keeping Assist and a Lane-Departure Warning, which alert you if you begin to drift out of your lane and provide steering assistance to get you back on track. The onboard Lane Following Assist has a Hands-On Detection sensor that allows it to see whether the driver is holding the wheel.
Parking Assists
The Kia EV9 comes with a front and rear Park Distance Warning indicator that will detect and audibly warn you of obstacles. The top trim GT-Line EV9 also includes a side Park Distance Warning and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assists for the front, rear, and side of the EV.
